    Website privacy policy

    Version 2.0. Effective 1 September 2026. Supersedes the version of December 2025.

    This policy explains how we handle personal data collected on scopewell.ai. It is issued under section 23 of the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017.

    If you use the Scopewell platform, a separate policy covers your account, billing and usage data. It is available at app.scopewell.ai/legal/privacy.

    Who we are

    Simple AI Ltd, a company incorporated in Mauritius, BRN C25225984, registered office 10 Le Hameau, Beau Plan, 1210-01, Mauritius, trading as Scopewell. We are the controller of the data described here.

    Our officer responsible for data protection compliance, designated under section 22(2)(e) of the Act, is Lincoln Emmanuel Thierry, reachable at [email protected].

    We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the site is not directed at children.

    You choose through the banner shown on your first visit and can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.

    4. Who we share it with

    • Service providers who process data on our behalf under written terms: website hosting, analytics, email delivery and our CRM. They are listed at scopewell.ai/subprocessors
    • Our professional advisers, where necessary
    • Public authorities, where required by law
    • A successor entity in a corporate reorganisation, sale or merger

    5. Where it is processed

    The website is hosted by Hostinger in the European Union. Technical data collected when you visit, including your IP address and server logs, is processed there. Where you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics processes usage data in the United States and other locations. Email and correspondence is handled by Google Workspace, also outside Mauritius.

    Where data is processed outside Mauritius we rely on appropriate safeguards under section 36(1)(a) of the Act, evidenced by our written terms with those providers, or on another ground permitted by Part VI of the Act. The current list, with the location of each provider, is published at scopewell.ai/subprocessors.

    The Scopewell platform is hosted separately, in a data centre in Mauritius. That is covered by the platform privacy policy and the Data Processing Addendum, not by this policy.

    7. Your rights

    Under the Act you may ask us to give you access to your personal data, correct it, erase it where we have no continuing lawful reason to keep it, restrict how we use it while a dispute is resolved, object to processing based on our legitimate interests including marketing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or provide it in a portable form where that applies.

    Write to [email protected]. We respond within the period required by the Act and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

    If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Commissioner of Mauritius. Details are at dataprotection.govmu.org.

    Where you are in the European Union and the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing, you have equivalent rights under that regulation and may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

    8. Security

    We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access control, and logging.

    9. Changes

    The current version and its effective date are shown at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so on this page.
